    Floor milling uses specialist machinery to cut precise channels into an existing concrete or suitable screed floor, creating a route for underfloor heating pipes to sit just below the surface. The channels follow a carefully designed pipe layout, helping to ensure even heat distribution throughout the floor.

    Once the channels have been milled, the 16 mm underfloor heating pipe is installed, pressure tested and secured into position. Depending on the project, the channels may then be filled with a suitable compound or left ready for the next stage of the installation. Because the pipework is installed within the existing floor, there is little or no increase in finished floor height, making floor milling an ideal solution for retrofit underfloor heating projects.
