All of our quotes are provided with a clear, honest breakdown of costs and no hidden fees.
2. Which areas do you cover?
We cover Banbury, Bicester, Brackley, Chipping Norton and Milton Keynes. We also offer nationwide coverage for our specialist floor milling service and air source heat pump installations. If you’re unsure whether we can help you, just ask.

1. What boiler brands do you fit?
For new gas boiler installations, we work with Worcester Bosch, Vaillant and Glowworm. These are three of the most trusted and reliable boiler brands available in the UK, and we’re proud to be approved fitters for each of them.
2. How often should my boiler be serviced?
Your boiler should be serviced once a year by a Gas Safe registered engineer. An annual service keeps your boiler running safely and efficiently, helps to identify any potential issues before they become costly problems and is usually required to maintain your manufacturer’s warranty.
3. My boiler isn’t working. What should I do?
If your boiler has broken down or isn’t performing as it should, get in touch with us and we’ll arrange a visit. Common faults we deal with include no hot water, the heating not coming on, low pressure, unusual noises and fault code displays. We carry out a thorough diagnosis before quoting for any repair work.
4. What is the McGhie’s Comfort Club?
The McGhie’s Comfort Club is our care plan, designed to give you ongoing peace of mind with regular servicing and priority support. Contact us for full details on what’s included and how to sign up.
4. Can you service oil boilers?

1. What is floor milling?
Floor milling is a specialist service we offer that uses professional machinery to channel the exact locations for underfloor heating pipes within a concrete floor. It’s a precise and efficient process that ensures your underfloor heating system is laid accurately and performs as designed. This is a niche service that we offer nationwide.
2. Do I need floor milling for my underfloor heating?
Floor milling is specifically relevant to properties with concrete floors where the underfloor heating pipes need to be precisely routed and embedded. If you’re unsure whether it applies to your project, get in touch and we’ll talk it through.
1. What is the Boiler Upgrade Scheme?
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) is a government grant that helps homeowners in England and Wales offset the cost of switching from a traditional boiler to a heat pump. Eligible homeowners can receive a grant towards the cost of fitting an air source or ground source heat pump. You must use an MCS accredited installer, which we are, to qualify for this funding.
2. What brands of heat pump do you install?
For air source heat pumps, we fit many highly efficient manufactures including Panasonic and Grant systems. For ground source heat pumps, we install CTC. All three are established, reliable manufacturers with strong performance records.
3. Do you install heat pumps outside Oxfordshire?
